Gattuso to Boca Juniors?

Boca Juniors sporting director has declared interest in Gennaro Gattuso, who has parted company with AC Milan and is looking for a new employer.

The 34-year-old’s future is still uncertain and Boca Juniors can be an interesting choice for the World Cup winner.

“Gattuso is a player we really like and the doors to our squad are always open for one as prestigious as he,” said Boca Juniors sporting director Pablo Budna.

“Pablo is a great player and there have been talks with Catania, which have been going on for about a month,” he revealed. “But there are other clubs interested in him, so there is nothing definite at the moment.”

Ronaldo unsure about the future

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that he is not sure about is future.

In the interview for Sky Sports Ronaldo claims to be happy in Spain, but cannot guarantee that he will stay at the club in the future.

“To be honest, I don’t know. In the future, nobody knows,” said the 27-year-old.

“I feel very happy here, it is a great club with fantastic fans. It’s great, but in the future nobody knows.

“I feel happy here but it one year or two, you never know. A man’s head is always complicated, but at the moment I am very happy.”

In 2011/2012 season, he scored 60 goals.

Bent says he will stay at Villa

Darren Bent has admitted that he will not leave Aston Villa after this season.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from the struggling club, but now confirmed he wants to stay at Villa.

“People have asked if I was mis-sold the dream when I signed and if I’m honest I didn’t think Ashley Young and Stewart Downing would leave in the same summer,” he said.

“But I signed for Aston Villa because I wanted to be here and I still do. I was linked with a transfer out of here all through January and I didn’t want that then and I don’t want that now.

“It’s not been a great season but this is a massive club and we’ve got to make sure it is a blip that doesn’t happen again. It is still a time of transition and we need to do our best to get behind the new manager.”

Barca lining up shocking move for Drogba?

Barcelona are plotting a shock move for Chelsea Striker Didier Drogba as they attempt to build for the coming season, after missing out on La Liga as Real Madrid became victorious.

The 34-year-old explosive striker has been attracting attention from all sorts of clubs, with a mega-rich move to either Russia or China an option as well as a move to Serie A on the cards.

Chelsea are determined to cut down on the ageing squad at Stamford Bridge, with a plan to bring more youth to the side in place. Drogba is out of contract this summer and it is reported he could be on his way to La Liga and join Barca as a free agent.

The prospect of playing alongside the likes of Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta may just be enough to tempt Drogba after spending 8 seasons in the Premier League.

Tito Vilanova, who takes over from Pep Guardiola after the Copa Del Rey final clash with Athletic Bilbao is in the hunt for a powerful striker as the main reason Barca failed to perform this season was down to the absence of David Villa.

A source for the Catalan club confirmed “What the team needs is an attacking player who has the presence and strength to trouble defenders. Drogba has that profile and is one of the players the club are looking at.”

Official: Starke joins Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Hoffenheim goalkeeper Tom Starke.

The 31-year-old’s contract will expire in 2015.

“This is the best club in Germany and one of the three best in the world,” Starke said.

“It is a great honour to be called by one of those clubs. I am very proud, and I feel it is the confirmation of my good performances in recent years.”

Official: Marcello Lippi in China

China’s Guangzhou Evergrande have announced that Marcello Lippi becomes the new coach of the club.

The 64-year-old signs two-and-a-half-year deal, but the club has not revealed his salary.

“In accordance with the strategic needs of the club… the following decision was made: to hire Mr. Marcello Lippi as the head coach of Guangzhou Evergrande,” says the statement.

“The period of hiring is two years and six months.”

Lippi won the World Cup in 2006 with Italy.

Modric: Decision after Euro

Tottenham star Luka Modric has admitted that he will decide after European Championship about his future.

The 26-year-old has been a transfer target for top European clubs, including Chelsea, who failed to capture the player last year.

Modric now wants to focus on Euro and does not want to think about the future.

“I will decide about my future after the Euros.” he said.

“I will make the decision where to continue my career. I’m ready for the big tests.”

Official: Dalglish sacked

Liverpool Football Club have announced that Kenny Dalglish has been sacked as club’s manager.

The 61-year-old won Carling Cup this season, but finished eighth in the Premier League.

“After a careful and deliberative review of the season, the Club came to the decision that a change was appropriate. It is not a decision that was reached lightly or hastily.” says official statement.

“The search for a new Manager will begin immediately.”

Official: Van Bommel joins PSV and set to be manager after retirement

Mark van Bommel joined PSV Eindhoven on Monday and signed one-year contract with the club.

However, the 35-year-old is also set to take over PSV as a manager after he will retire from professional football.

“This is a special moment in particular for the fans who have been waiting for his return for such a long time,” said club’s technical director Marcel Brands

“Van Bommel told me only recently that he would leave Milan to rejoin PSV. We have agreed Mark will take up a coaching role with PSV when he hangs up his boots.’

Van Bommel spent six years at PSV before, winning four titles with the club.
